As a non-government, non-membership organization, since its inception in 1995 PRCF has been predominantly funded through private, public, and government donor grants, gifts, and donations, with certain activities also receiving funding directly through PRCF core funds.
Our source of public funding has remained above 35 percent since our beginning, and we are working towards increasing this percentage through direct engagement with the general public and through corporate sponsorship. More than 95 percent of all grant monies to PRCF go directly towards the implementation of project activities in the ground.
Donors to PRCF programs have included: Abraham Foundation, Arcus Foundation, Australian Embassy, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Critical Ecosystems Partnership Fund, Ford Foundation, Fauna & Flora International, Gibbon Conservation Alliance, John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, IUCN Save Our Species Fund, Keidanren Species Conservation Fund, Mohamed bin Zayed Nature Conservation Fund, Phoenix Zoo, Natura Artis Magistra, Rainforest Trust, Regional Network of Indigenous People, The McKnight Foundation, Twycross Zoo, United States Agency for International Development, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, and several others.
For a complete list of donor organizations and our partners in conservation please review the ‘Donors and Partners’ pages for each of the PRCF Country Programs.
PRCF does not acquire funds through consultancy services to governments, institutions, other organizations or otherwise.
